The answer to improving my audio experience with my ASUS G750JS is the DFX Audio Enhancer.DFX Audio Enhancer contains a large collection of audio plugins from Fxsound. My experienced in doing so yielded less than stellar results.
I do understand that some may say your JS comes equipt with audio drivers software that just needs to be tweaked. I can now turn up the volume on my JS without sub-woofer rattle. I use the 3rd DFX preset setting which is referenced as Light Processing/Type II and on this setting alone my listening experience has improved. I'm doing nothing major with the settings as of yet. After installing the DFX software I noticed an immediate difference as the software seems to factor in the presence of the sub-woofer and and does a much better job of controling its range or pitch as the software works like an equalizer that auto-tunes my laptops audio sound. My opinion changed once I bought the JS model and I expected a little more because I bought a little more in my laptop that boast to have a better than average sound. I thought nothing of it actually as I know most laptops don't have sub-woofers.
I also remember reviews where someone reviewing the G750 series or a consumer would point out that the seemingly well equipt laptop had a poor audio set up. I was reading a review of the JS model on the COSTCO website written buy a consumer who pointed out a similar problem with the JS audio set up and recommended the DFX audio enhancer. This meant the rattle stayed no matter what I did to adjust the speaker sound. I attempted to tweak the speakers using the included software and strangely seemed to only alter the speakers found at the base of the display. Not long after purchasing my G750JS I began to listen close to OEM installed audio speakers and noticed that sound produced a light rattle that worsened when volume was increased.
